The Choices - Grown from the Community

In July 2006 visioning sessions with the community were organized by Vision Long Island. The purpose was to clearly identify local community needs and concerns while actively involving Shoreham residents in the planning of alternate uses for the Tallgrass property.

Nationally recognized planners Dover Kohl & Partners and local designers /planners ADL III synthesized the community's ideas and developed new choices that have now been included as part of the project plans.

All the choices, including the alternatives created at the charrette were consolidated into the final proposed plan.
